The 2009 BAAA Football Season

Hello everyone and welcome back to the 2009 edition of the BAAA Warriors! Be sure you check out our "New Choices" section to the right which explains a little about our new storefront for viewing and ordering prints. Thank you for allowing me to come out and photograph your boys as they play.

If I missed your son or if you just want to remind me that you would like him captured, feel free to drop me an email with his team, number and name.

The new galleries are organized by team then by game. You will be asked for your email - you don't have to provide it, but it will allow me to track how many visitors come to the galleries. But you can view the galleries without providing it, no problem. You will need a password to access the galleries. For those of you who worked with me last year, the password is the same as last year. These galleries are password-protected because these are images of your children. If you don't have the password, Email me.

New Choices

As I begin selling prints from the 2009 season, I have adopted a new web site for ordering prints. This virtual storefront is a considerable upgrade from the old PayPal system. It will be more secure and easier for you to go through and order your images, along with more imaging choices. It will also increase the speed at which you get your prints. If you have any questions about this new storefront, please let me know! Also, I wanted you to be aware that I can re-render any of the images as a black and white print. Most folks prefer color, but you do have that option. I can work with you to preview the black and white image before you order. Also, last year we had several parents who ordered poster-sized prints. These include images prints at 11x14, 16x20 up to 36x24. This option remains for 2009, but please contact me directly as these products require close coordination. Also, not every image is well-suited for these enlargements, but for those that are, they represent a stunning and remarkable keepsake of your son's football experience.

I can also transfer any of the images to most of the novelty items you have seen before: coffee cups, t-shirts, etc.

Email me if you would like to discuss the additional options you have for prints!

About

I am a local part-time photographer comitted to providing professional quality photographic services to communities of Washington County. Photography has evolved from an interest of mine to a hobby to an obsession. It is my hope to use my decade of experience behind the lens to provide others with a permanent link to a memory or a moment.

Most people have a natural interest in cameras and I am often asked what equipment I use. I shoot exclusively with high quality Canon digital SLRs and lenses. Most shots are taken with Canon's highest quality L lenses. These lenses represent the very best optics available in 35mm photography. Anyone who has ever noticed the white telephoto lenses on the sidelines of any professional sporting event already knows that Canon leads the world in digital photography. While the quality of cameras and lenses are important, it will always be the photographer that anticipates, composes and captures the moment. Capturing that moment with my camera remains my obsession.

Security of Online Images

All galleries with images of children are placed behind a security barrier. Any parent wishing to view these images must have a valid name and password, otherwise, access will not be granted. If you are the parent of a child, email me at the email address above or call to get the credentials. The goal is to restrict these photographs to only family. If you are a friend or acquaintance, please do not ask me for access. Rather, contact a family member of the child. I hope you all understand this policy. It will probably result in some lost prints, but it is very important that we do this correctly. Further, if you find images of your child you want removed from the secure galleries, let me know and I will remove the images immediately. No faces of children will appear on the unsecure portions of the site unless I have express written permission from their parents to do so.

Sharpsburg  |  Boonsboro  |  Keedysville

This is our home — where we live, play, learn and work. Wherever I go in Washington County, I usually have my camera with me. Whether it be football games, Antietam National Battlefield, projects for Sharpsburg Elementary or just to capture a sunset or a particular stretch of road, I get satisfaction from capturing important moments in the lives of good people.

Prints and Pricing

Prints are available for sale from the galleries. I use Shutterbug Storeftont to handle all financial transactions safely and securely (I never see your credit card.) If you have any questions whatsoever, don't hesitate to contact me at the email address above.

Our prints are priced very low so that you can have more prints for the same money. I use a very reputable online laboratory for making the prints. All tweaks, changes, sharpening, etc. are done by me, not the lab. Prints should not be outlandishly expensive. Most people have a set amount they like to spend, not a set number of prints they want to buy. Reasonable pricing allows you to select more prints for less money. I hope you agree.

Other Ways to Order

If you would rather not order online at all, send me the name of the image you would like to order in an email along with whether it is 4x6, 5x7 or some other size, etc., and I'll work with you by email to arrange whatever form of payment you are comfortable with (e.g., check through the mail).

About this site

I have built the large, complex websites that work very hard to capture the viewer's eye. But for this site, I decided to stick with simplicity. It is strictly about the photographs. I hope you like it — I do.
